HÜLSKEN & HEUVEL LIVE

Ricardo van den Heuvel started DJ’ing in 2005 after a friend bought  him his first 12 inch. He got known as organizer of “Diepgezonken” parties at  special  locations  in and  nearby  Amsterdam.  Because of his hard work he received a  residency  at  club Panama in 2008.  His  sound  can  be described  best  as a mix of Techhouse, Deephouse and Minimal. In 2009  he found a  new  challenge;  Producing. 
David Hülsken, born in Bussum a village right under Amsterdam, began his musical journey
at a young age. Inspired by Jazz, Soul, Blues and Funk he began to play piano. He soon disvovered his talent, he joined several bands and ended up working in a piano store which allowed him to play piano all day. After visiting his first Awakenings back in 2002 he was impressed and motivated to start organizing his own parties and also change his way of making music. When moving to Utrecht he bought his first pair of turntables and vinyl and started to perform as a DJ under the alias David Art. Together with DJ Wesdex and Hidde Pluymert he started to organise the infamous party called Magnetronik in Utrecht-residence Poema.



In 2009 David and Ricardo started producing  and  performing  together. With Funk and  Jazz influence and  rolling funky techno  as their  main  theme combined with the use of live piano in their sets makes them an unique experience.
Besides their live act performances their music has been released on several labels; Modern Playground, Push it Records. The release on Push it Records is a very special remix of the classic anthem: Lack of love by Charles B & Adonis.
